March Favorites
Heyyy friend. One of my most favorite things to read is a list of someone’s favorites. Sooooo I decided to make my own list of favorites. Below you’ll find a hodgepodge of random things I have found myself loving over the past month.
First up is Morgan Harper Nichols’ newest book of poetry, All Along You Were Blooming. I love love love Morgan and all that she creates, but I’ve found myself especially grateful for this little (but very full) book of poetry as we are sitting still in a season that could feel bloomless (not a word, but I’m making it one). Her poetry and artwork are beautiful, but also so relatable. I often read her poems and feel like they were written just for me. I’m sure you’ll feel the same way. Click here to check it out!
The next thing I loved during the month of March and I’m sure to continue loving for much longer is Daily Harvest. These are the easiest and most delicious smoothies full of the very best ingredients. Maybe you would consider yourself an awesome smoothie maker, but I honestly am terrible at it. It seems like something that should be so simple, but mine always end up tasting super bland or just plain gross. Welp, Daily Harvest has got smoothie making down to a T. Their ingredients are simple, yet also things I’d never think of putting together. All you have to do is fill the cup up with a liquid, throw it in a blender, dump it back in the cup, and voilà, you have a smoothie. Basically they are just plain DELICIOUS and so so good for you. My favorite so far is the Strawberry + Peach Smoothie. They also have harvest bowls and other wonderful things that I haven’t tried yet, but if their smoothies are any indication then the rest is sure to please. This free 10 day devotional, Into the Unknown by Stephanie May Wilson has been so encouraging to me. All the current uncertainty in the world right now really had me stuck with how to spend my time with the Lord in the mornings. I knew I wanted something intentional that would set my heart on what’s true. This devotional has been relatable, encouraging, and challenging all at the same time. I would def recommend it. Did I mention it’s FREE??
Next up is my FabFitFun box. I know so many people talk about these boxes, but seriously y’all it’s like Christmas every time my box shows up at my door. This box is a seasonal subscription (so four boxes a year) and it is sooooo worth it. Everything is full sized and has a retail price that adds up to way more than you pay for the box. Sometimes even ONE item has a retail price more than the box itself. Click here to get $10 dollars off your first box.
My last favorite for this month is actually two things. I love music and how it can bring me comfort, joy, peace, excitement, and so much more. I am constantly finding new music and adding to my playlists on Spotify. This month I wanted to share my Church Music playlist and my Cozy playlist. Church Music is exactly what it sounds like; worship music. I’ll go ahead and tell you that I am VERY particular about the worship music that I listen to. I look for rich biblical truths in the lyrics and for the most part that’s not the kind of music you will hear on Christian radio. You may or may not know some of the songs on this playlist, but I trust that as you listen to the lyrics you will grow to love them. The second playlist is called cozy and it’s full of songs that make me feel exactly that, cozy. I’m all about vibes and aesthetics and this is the playlist I turn on if I’m listening to the rain fall, cooking, or just sitting with a cup of coffee. It’s the kind of music that just feels like me (if that’s a thing).
Let me know if you try any of these things or if you already know and love them!
