Do You Feel Stuck?

Do you ever just feel stuck? My mom and I were looking through some dinner table questions this afternoon for her small group and one was the typical “When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?” I thought about the question and then realized I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. Anyone else?

I have prayed for years that my life would be a story only God could write. One overflowing with evidences of His grace and faithfulness. I want to go and do, but I don’t know where to go and what to do. I don’t want to leave the sweet place I am just for the sake of going somewhere new, but I also don’t want to waste my life waiting for something to happen.

My 24 years are full of evidences of the Lord’s grace and faithfulness, so why am I worried he’ll stop now? He won’t. He will continue to lead me and guide me through this topsy turvy beautiful story He has written for my life. I must choose to inform my heart and my mind with the truth of the Lord’s character. Maybe you need this reminder too. He sees us. He knows us. He loves us. He is always good and no purpose of His can be thwarted (Job 42:2).

We aren’t stuck. If we are seeking and trusting in Him then we are right where He wants us to be. And when it’s time to move, He will lead the way.
